I have run the code, I only issue is I am not able to set up a person who is half way into their subscription cycle. So when I run the code, I am not sure if I am being charged for full amount on the newer subscription - unused time on the current subscription. Or Remaining time on newer subscription - remaining time on current subscription.

Have you tried using upcoming invoice API to preview prorations?

That should tell you what amount would be charged
