You're right, you can create a Checkout Session in subscription mode and pass a mix of recurring and one-time Prices under line items, with the understanding that one-time Prices will only be included in the first Invoice: https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/create#create_checkout_session-line_items

Do you know if the checkout page show those items separately? Your explanation matches what I hope it does 🙂
I'm saying Checkout but that might be the wrong word - I just mean whatever UI that is hosted by Stripe. I'm imagining that I only have to write a page that has some kind of quantity picker and I feed that via that session to you to display the secure purchase flow (?)
