Hi there, I don't see the fingerprint of this card is ever in the radar block list

Hi, thanks for your response.
So this particular payment method only failed once with the message being that the card had expired (this was the very first failed payment of the customer.
The very next transaction was blocked, and the fingerprint was still blocked after updating the payment method's expiry, and we have had to manually remove the fingerprint from the radar.
Hmm, I think you mean manually add the fingerprint to the radar's allow list?
Yes, my apologies, we added it to the radar's allow list
No problem. As I said, the fingerprint of this card is never in the radar block list. The charge ( req_4w3TX4ESi0D9R7) was blocked because of excessive retries
Would there be any reason for it to be set as excessive retries only after 1 failed payment?
The only times we have seen this happen is if the card is attempted when it has expired, its fingerprint will be blocked for the next retry.
The case above I had sent that you mentioned was excessive retries, was blocked upon the first retry
I'd suggest you reach out to Stripe support, they are more familiar with dealing inquries about card decline. https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
