You would need to add your own CAPTCHA challenge at some point in the flow before the button is clicked. The Express Checkout Element doesn't have that functionality built in yet

Okay, does the onClick handler trigger before opening the checkout flow? Wondering if I could pop a modal with the reCATCHA before they get put into the (for example) link checkout flow
