Here's the definition of the pricing
let me know what other information you'd like me to send

I'm trying to grasp your question but it's not yet making sense to me. If you are using usage-based billing then it's always billed "in arrears" so at the end of the period, not upfront
I am fairly confident this has not changed, we designed it this way from the start and we did even before we introduced Meter and MeterEvent APIs when we had just UsageRecord
well it is usage-based but we do have a minimum billing requirement
I was also trying to get the examples of when this used to happen, but unfortunately, the data in test is erased after 90 days
Then you are supposed to mix a metered Price and a licensed one I think.
So you'd have a Price A for $10/month for example and a Price B that charges for usage
yeah that's what I saw in the documentation, but that's not what we implemented so far - the main reason was because we had seen it work that way before...
Yeah if you can find an example I'm happy to look and compare. It doesn't match how I know it works, but it's a new enough product that maybe I missed something
here's the email I sent our contact at Stripe on May 20th
but I didn't keep a trace of the subscription id though
yeah not much I can do from a PDF of an email unfortunately
no I understand - it was just to show that it did happen although I don't have a record I can show
so from your knowledge, there's nothing that can be configured to do this behavior...apart from having 2 separate pricing items?
That is my understanding yes. I could be wrong as it's a new product though so I'd recommend reaching out to your contact at Stripe to discuss this further
