I'm a bit confused -- if that Subscription phase already ended then you shouldn't need to pass it anymore

You should only need to pass the current Phase as Phase 0

Oh, okay then. I'll change our algorithm so it doesn't pass expired phases anymore. However, about the other question, would be a problem to delete the coupon attribute that is causing the trouble?

So that I can fix the problem for the moment while implementing the new code

I don't believe it should be any issue -- you should only need to pass that once

I'd recommend testing this in test mode first though to make sure it behaves as you expect
