Okay I see what you're saying. Unfortunately this is something that I also often struggle with. I know how to use the API itself, but I don't really understand what you need to do for the registrations for the sales tax calculation to work properly.
We do have the docs https://docs.stripe.com/tax/registering but they are a bit light on this.
