The metadata is set on Checkout Session in https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/logs/req_CYwmqiX18aZ3tB. Metadata doesn't get populated from one object to another, i.e. metadata on Checkout Session isn't populated to Payment Intent if you're listing to payment_intent.* events.
It's possible to set the Payment Intent metadata with payment_intent_data.metadata in Checkout Session creation request. I'd recommend checking the guide here: https://docs.stripe.com/metadata#set-indirectly

If I want to get the metadata added by Checkout in payment_intent, do I need to add additional settings when creating Checkout?
