Hi there 👋 I'm working on pull up my test site that uses that combination of elements. While I do, can you tell me a bit more about the validation error you're running into? Is it only for certain payment method types?

The validation error has the code incomplete_email
I run into this when I am processing a card payment as that is the only payment method that shows the link authentication element

Oh I see. Let me poke at this a little more and see if that validation can be suppressed.
I'm not readily spotting a way to do that, but will be sure to file feedback to the appropriate team that this is something you'd be interested in seeing added in the future. Looking to see if I can find a workaround for now.
What seems to be working for me, is to destroy the Link Authentication Element before submitting:

though it's maybe not the smoothest UI transition.

I did try this but destroying the element seem to prompt link in the payment element. I do have Link switched off but in my local environment, I am still seeing it

Yeah, you may want to try disabling that Link prompts customers to use it by default. The setting in the Save customer payment information on Link setting on this page:
