The idea here is to allow customers to make occasional, ad-hoc purchases that go beyond their regular subscription offerings. In a mobile phone plan, users subscribe to a certain amount of data, minutes, or texts each month. If they exceed these limits, they can still access additional services, but at an extra cost, often referred to as an “overage” or “add-on.”
