hi! do you have a cs_test_xxx ID of an active CheckoutSession you can create just now that replicates this issue?

brazen cave
#

maybe I'm missing something but we say in the docs United States is not supported (it's not in the list you linked) so it seems expected for the option to not show up when the billing address is in that country

#

Oh! I see. My bad.

#

How can I allow tax ID collection in the US though?

brazen cave
#

I don't beleive it's supported today, it's something you'd have to collect manually outside of Checkout today

merry silo
#

But what we want to show the collected info in the invoice.

#

I feel like there's no clear direction to that, which is really frausterating

I see, is there a way to validate the tax ID through Stripe's API?

I believe the API validates the format against the ID type. Not necessairly that it exists/is correct for the company

merry silo
#

Alright. It's really sad that the US is not supported by Stripe's checkout.

#

I think that's all, thanks @brazen cave , @jaunty scarab for the help ๐Ÿ™
