Hi, let me help you with this.

Hi, thank you. basically what im trying to achieve is figuring out the net amount paid after any discounts have been applied on the line item. So i need to do amount - (sum of discounts) but i just want to be clear where to get the discounts

faint grove

discounts contains references to the Coupons and Promo Codes that are applied to the Invoice Item: https://docs.stripe.com/api/discounts/object
discount_amounts is the calculated amount when the Coupons and Promo Codes are applied to the Invoice Item

#

so they are the same thing but one is just a reference to the discounts object and the other is the final calculated amounts?

faint grove

Correct. Not sure you can say it's "the same thing" though.

i see. yes i see what you mean. it sounds like what i need is discounts_amount to use to calculate the net amount of the line item.

thanks for your help ๐Ÿ™‚
