@shy lantern let me have a look

Checkign this now

#

On that page it works when running ios 18 beta 5

#

The ApplePay button is visible

#

But is this a Stripe Connect integration?

agile glade
#

Interesting, that page should be using the same thing to check that on the Checkout page

shy lantern
#

In my test, when using Stipe it works, but not when using Stripe Connect

#

Realizing I forgot to mention that, sorry

agile glade
#

Interesting. Connect shouldn't matter here. I can see Apple Pay on all of my Apple devices, albeit my phone is only on iOS 17. So we aren't restricting it purposely based on Connect here

#

Can you share your non-connect link that you are having better luck with?

shy lantern
#

I'm having the same issue using the Stripe JS SDK. That's how I was able to compare with vs without Stripe Connect. I dont have a working link with non-connect integration at the moment though

agile glade
#

The JS SDK would make more sense because you would need separate payment method domain registrations

#

For the buy link, that is a Checkout Session at a Stripe URL that is definitely registered already

#

So it is interesting that there is a difference here for that buy link, but it likely isn't an intentional one from the Stripe side

#

Unfortunately I am having trouble reproducing that behavior on my side because I don't have access to a device with that iOS version

#

I will check with my colleagues to see if any of them see that behavior

#

My colleague can see this issue on their iOS 18 device as well. Do you have the URL for the payment link where you can see Apple Pay on your iOS 18 device?

shy lantern
#

I was never able to see ApplePay when Stripe Connect is being used on iOS 18. Only when Stripe non-connect.

agile glade
#

It looks like this issue is specific to Checkout. We are also able to see the apple pay button on that PRB page but not in Checkout Sessions. We are filing something for this with our colleagues that work on Checkout. If you have a buy link where apple pay does appear for you in Checkout, that would be helpful in narrowing down what is happening, but no worries if you don't have that. We should have enough info to get them started looking in to this

shy lantern
#

Oh great! Thanks for filing that

#

For clarity, I was never able to make a buy link where apple pay does appear when using Stripe connect on ios 18

agile glade
#

Gotcha, apologies for my misunderstanding

#

And thanks for the report. I don't have an ETA on a fix at the moment but we are handling this urgently. So it should be fixed soon

shy lantern
#

Great! This is blocking our release, so I really appreciate the urgency! And thanks for the quick reaction on my question. This is great!

#

What would be the best place for me to find out when this is fixed?

agile glade
#

If you write in to our support team and DM me your email address, I can add info so the support person can track the fix and notify you when it is done.

shy lantern
#

Sorry, not sure I understand the steps to follow. I try to DM you but can't because we don't share a server or are friends (ย ๐Ÿ˜ข )

agile glade
#

You can write an email to our support team here https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true

#

And hmm, I have DMs for people on this server turned on. Just tried to DM you but that didn't go through either

#

I think I can find this through your account ID which I can look up on our side through that buy link

#

Yep just let me know when you've sent in your email. I can find the thread and add context

shy lantern
#

Oh, the DM issue was on my end sorry. Just sent you my email. I'll contact support. ๐Ÿ™

agile glade
#

Not seeing an email from that address currently. Have you already sent it in?

shy lantern
agile glade
#

If you are logged in with your Stripe account, you should be able to file a ticket as that account.
Also big apologies but I spoke too soon on the urgency. We don't officially support iOS beta versions, we are working to address this but as beta versions are inherently unstable our ability to support them is more limited.

shy lantern
#

I'm pretty sure there's frontend validation preventing me from using a @gmail.com address here. The same happens when logged in and using my real email address linked to my Stripe account.

#

Understand the prioritizations. Note though that Apple already released iOS 18 beta 5 and is planning to launch iOS 18 for everyone in september

agile glade
#

If you go to this page while logged in, is there a stripe chat window that appears in the lower right? https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
I can report that issue, but that looks to be on our sales contact page

shy lantern
#

Yes there's a chat window

agile glade
#

You can describe your issue in that chat box and ask to open a ticket for it

shy lantern
#

OK I chatted with Stripe support in the chat window. They'll continue the chat in an email thread

agile glade
#

Awesome, thank you for your patience there. Not sure what is up with gmail not being considered valid. Finding that thread now to add the context about the fix to

#

Alright we should be good there
