I've been able to enable the payment method on our end.
But, question; this customer has a sub-account with us (via stripe connect).
they enabled the payment method in their dashboard but it didn't get enabled on our end somehow
I had to turn it on here in our connect dashboard
is that expected behaviour? I was under the impression that merchants can control their payment methods via the stripe dashboard
hello! give me a while to take a look
thanks, it's working now but would appreciate explanation about the above ๐
I just requested access to the embedded payment methods element as well https://docs.stripe.com/connect/supported-embedded-components/payment-method-settings#request-access
I think what happened is that the connected account didn't actually enable the payment methods on the right Payment Method Configuration (PMC)
if you look at the ^ image (this is from my own test connected account). The first configuration is the connected account's own, the second one (it'll have the platform name) is the one under the platform and the one which they actually need to change
Right, yeah that's possible. They (and most other customers) were pretty confused about all of this
