It depends on which banking rails you intend to use really. ACH? BACS?
ACH
Then the default and recommended approach is to use the verification flow built-in to Stripe.js via Financial Connections: https://docs.stripe.com/financial-connections/ach-direct-debit-payments
End-to-end guide is here: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/ach-debit/set-up-payment
is there any automatic and instant way to verify bank account as this can take a couple of days?
like with Plaid
Yes, via Financial Connections as I just described. Instant verification is the default way: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/ach-debit/set-up-payment?platform=web&payment-ui=direct-api#web-collect-details
We used to support Plauid, but it's deprecated in place of our own API
ok
how about if it is Credit Card instead of bank account? What is the best way to collect and store it for future payments?
Fundamentally you'd use the same Setup Intent flow with the Payment Element. The guide here covers everything regardless of what PM type is used: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/save-and-reuse?platform=web&ui=elements
Did you actually try it out?
I did in the past but with stripe.js & also using Plaid.
looking to build a new integration
does the SetupIntent stores the payment method/details on Stripe platform as well?
The Setup Intent will generate a reusable Payment Method (pm_xxx) object once confirmed, yes: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/setup-intents
