Hi there, so you want to turn off Link in PaymentElement?

odd panther
#

No, I want the previous UI

#

up until recently this UI would only show when the user clicked a checkbox (or maybe it was a button)

Do you have a screenshot of the previous UI?

#

I will try to find one

#

This had a custom theme applied

#

but we don't keep screenshots of the checkout and since Stripe controls what is rendered inside the purchase iframe it's not possible to bump a version back

Is there a URL to visit this page?

odd panther
#

no

#

perhaps I wasn;t being clear

#

this functionality has been replaced by Stripe

Ok. I'm afraid that I don't see there's a option to revert to the old PaymentElement behaviour that you prefer

OK would you please pass on my displeasure with the change to perhaps a product manager. The key points being:

  • the new UI is not clear that this is an upsell to Stripe's Link service and not a requirement of our store's checkout flow
  • there is no way to revert to the previosu version, as such we are forced to disable Link altogether

Sure, I'll pass along your feedback to the Link team
