Hi there
Are you able to get to the reader settings at all? https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/payments/setup-reader/stripe-reader-s700#settings If you can, I think you should see a Diagnostics option under "Network"
Could you also share the reader's serial number?
Absolutely ... SN is SDR70Z1C335000005
Seemingly I can't get to any of the settings UI as none of the swipe gestures seem to allow me into there when stuck on that updates screen ๐
Hi @unborn sapphire I'm taking over this thread
Hey @glad cape!
I checked our internal logs and I saw some network errors. Is it possible to connect your reader to another network and try again?
Let me see if I can restart and catch it before it installs updates to "forget network" ๐ค
Forgetting network and re-connecting to the same network seems to result in the same thing. Will try again attempting to hotspot to phone
Hmm, I was able to connect to phone hotspot and it began to take a bit longer on the "downloading" step, but now it's back on in the same "loop" ๐
Have you tried a factory reset?
Do you have steps on how to safely do that? The last time one of our devs attempted that, it bricked the devkit and you had to send a new one ๐
I see. You can still try a factory rest, if it doesn't fix the problem, reach out to support and request for a replacement.
Ok cool, I'll give that a go tomorrow. Thanks!
Happy to help!
