Hi there, this article will help you understand more about Stripe resource ID https://dev.to/stripe/designing-apis-for-humans-object-ids-3o5a
no, the resource ID doesn't always start with three-letter prefix. For example Checkout session ID starts with cs_live or cs_test
in the context of a Stripe Customer ID, is the randomly generated bit a specific number of characters?
The resource IDs are unique within your Stripe account.
the question is more in the context of our storing that id, will the customer ID have a variable length, or is it specifically fixed length?
It's fixed.
