Could you provide me with more information about how exactly Express Checkout detects wallets internally? The worry is that if we implement it ourselves without that information, we could have false negatives or positives (we think Express Checkout will show but it actually won't or vice versa).

No stress! Thanks for the help. Can I submit that (an API for digital wallet detection) as a product suggestion? Does Stripe accept input like that?

Yeah I'd recommend contacting support at https://support.stripe.com/contact and sharing your exact end-to-end use-case though I don't see us building this honestly

Got it. Why do you say that it doesn't seem likely? I'm just interested in understanding how you view things differently, as a Stripe developer.

I have never seen anyone ask for it. Also the determination of when to show what depends on many factors, including whether it's for a Subscription, the currency, the presence of setupFutureUsage and many more things
