Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹

#

Our Tap to Pay integrations only work on a subset of devices so it's expected they won't succeed on some.

turbid cedar
#

I'm aware of this but the device we are running the app on, already has these requirements as far as we know

dry harbor
#

No

#

Our Tap To Pay integration requires a mobile phone, not a POS machine running android

#

If it's a POS machine, why would you need Stripe Terminal?

The device you are talking about is not a mobile phone, you are referring to a device that is specifically built to collect payments.

The purpose of the Tap To Pay integration is to allow normal mobile phones to collect NFC paymentse

turbid cedar
#

is it possible to integrate POS devices with stripe without TTP and using other technologies

dry harbor
#

You are asking if you can use Stripe Terminal with non-Stripe card readers?

turbid cedar
#

yes

#

for example with the I19100 I mentioned earlier

dry harbor
#

No, that is not possible

turbid cedar
#

ok

#

sadly in the docs it's not mentioned that tap to pay is not for pos devices

dry harbor
#

But POS devices already have that functionality built in, don't they? Isn't that the point of the device?

turbid cedar
#

and

#

by the way which of the crtiterias by POS devices are not supported

#

ok then

#

by the way how do you detect that we app is on the pos

#

?

dry harbor
#

Sorry I don't understand the question. Could you re-word it?

turbid cedar
#

how do you detect that app developed with stripe terminal is running on the POS

dry harbor
#

It does not meet our requirements. One of the requirements is

Uses Google Mobile Services and has the Google Play Store app installed

turbid cedar
#

ok

#
