I wounldn't worry about this. expired cards can continue to work with Stripe.
so unless you got a declined payment because of an expired card, keep reusing the card you saved
Oh, is that valid in general, even for manually entered details? I have never heard of an expired card continuing to work like that
if the card is already saved in Stripe, and later expire, it may still continue to work yes. however if you try to enter card details that are alredy expired, that won't work.
oh alright, I guess we will try this then. We had a whole bunch of cards getting rejected for being expired when we copied over customers from another instance, but okay then, we won't bother users until they have rejected transactions.
