So since subscription billing happens automatically, how can I add metadata from the creation to the checkout session for the event in question?
Hello
I don't think you can set the metadata directly on the invoice.. However, you can set it to the subscription: https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/create#create_checkout_session-subscription_data-metadata
When you receive invoice.payment_succeeded event, you can look up the subscription associated with that and find the metadata
Ok, if I understand I could look for the subscription when the invoice.payment_succeeded event arrives, and I understand according to the flow shown in the documentation, that if invoice.payment_succeeded.status is "paid" it means that the payment was made correctly, so I can take this event to confirm successful payment, right?
NP! ๐ Happy to help
