Yes you should be using Stripe Element https://docs.stripe.com/payments/accept-a-payment?platform=web&ui=elements if you don't have strong reasons for sending raw card details
Why you want to collect card details by your own frontend UI componenet ?

Ah basically I wanted to do a custom UI for it and not use the embedded forms, I'm just seeing now that I can achieve it through stripe elements.
