👋 Welcome to your new thread!

⏲️ We'll be here soon! We typically respond in a few minutes, but in some cases we might need a bit more time (e.g., server's busy, you've got a complex question, etc.).

⏱️ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can start a new thread if you have another question.

Hi there

hasty lance

No its just a clarifying question on the stripe.webhook.construct_event vs stripe.event.construct_from

#

functionally whats the difference there / when should I use one over the other (python sdk)

Where do you see stripe.event.construct_from?

hasty lance
#

its stripe.Event.construct_from

#

basically the diff is that the webhook one can also be used to validate the event is from stripe while the events one is just for casting data into an object that you can work with
