Hey, I am trying to understand the difference between a payout canceled and failed.
Also if a a payout has been canceled will be another event for the fail one?

A failure is if there's a failure trying to payout. A cancellation is an explicit action by you: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payouts/cancel
Not sure if you get the failed event if you cancel a payout
