Are you sure you have error handling code in place to catch and log any possible error?

Seems like [ERROR:NativeNfcManager.cpp(882)] nfaConnectionCallback: NFA_SELECT_RESULT_EVT error: status = 3 might be related. Can you try this on a different device with a different card? Do you get the same result?
