You likely need to call elements.fetchUpdates() after you update the intent to reflect the new amount: https://docs.stripe.com/js/elements_object/fetch_updates
But it doesn't happen to paypal or ideal
Is there a reason why?
paypal and ideal are both showing 1,21 (21% vat is added), which is correct
Just different implementations. The wallets require updates to stay in sync with the underlying intent amount
So if you update the Payment/Setup Intent server-side, you need to call fetchUpdates once that resolved and then the wallet UIs will reflect the changes
I tried doing something like this:
// TO DO: Update payment intent with orderId /
// You need to pass the paymentIntent.paymentIntentID
// Read docs about updating: https://stripe.com/docs/api/payment_intents/update
const updatedPaymentIntent = await updatePaymentIntentApi(paymentIntent.paymentIntentId, orderId);
// Fetch updates to reflect the changes in the UI
await elements.fetchUpdates();
hi! I'm taking over this thread.
