You can do this via Confirmation Tokens: https://docs.stripe.com/payments/finalize-payments-on-the-server
My understanding is that you can use confirmationToken to collect the details before they are sent for confirmation, 3DS challenge and before becoming a payment method object. The business logic needs to run after a successfully confirmed PaymentMethod
I'm not sure what you mean by 'successfully confirmed PaymentMethod'. Can you elaborate on what it is you're trying to do exactly
Fill out payment form -> Submit -> 3DS challenge automatically handled ( if applicable) -> Call to backend for project specific logic -> Backend calls Stripe to initiate the payment
Hmm, you probably want to ditch the Setup Intent and use a Payment Intent and use confirmation_method: 'manual' which allows a server-side confirmation step post your customer logic in the backend
