It does work on my chrome. Are you specifically having issue on an android device?
Have you tried using a different device and see if that changes anything?

google pay doesn't actually appear in any scenario, whether it's an android device, through my laptop's browser or on my iPhone
the only one that appears is apple pay if i open the link on my iphone

What location are you testing from? Also, do you have a card saved in your google pay wallet?
You'd need to be logged in with your google account on the browser for the button to show up

Yeah the issue is most likely with your device. You'd need to double check your Google wallet to confirm if you have a valid payment method as well as you're logged into the right google account
