๐ Have more to share? Add details, code, screenshots, videos, etc. below.
I'd share request ID's, but I don't think they are relevant. It's more about figuring out how to deploy to the S700 for my users, as I've had several that would like my app installed on their device, but there is no mechanism to do so to Connected Standard Accounts
@sleek nova the best option is for you to create the Stripe account via the API and not use OAuth
pocket_connect-cbsp
But then these users, who are already confused about having more than one Stripe account, would then have to create a new Stripe account and verify that separately?
Yes they need to have separate account. That's what the CBSP rollout is about.
Support was able to migrate about 40K of my Connected Accounts (that were CBSP by definition) to have platform controls enabled. Is there tooling like that via the API where I could do it on my own?
unfortunately no there isn't
So can you help me understand the exact steps? It sounds like I'd need to do the following:
- Create an account for them with: https://docs.stripe.com/api/accounts/create (there is no way to do this with an existing account?)
- Have them verify that Stripe account, and add necessary details
- Any Locations/Readers registered to that account would be automatically eligible for deploys?
Any other gotchas? As you can imagine this isn't all that easy to explain to non-technical folks
Correct, that's my understanding
Well that's at least progress! Any idea when that process will be a bit more available to any Connected Account?
I don't know sorry, I'd recommend discussing this further with our support team instead: https://support.stripe.com/contact
As I mentioned I started that 27 days ago and you've given me more information than they have in 2 minutes
I understand but I can't really help with the specific questions you have about CBSP and Terminal right now and they would be better equipped to help you debug this further or escalate to the relevant product team internally
