I think you would need to:
- remove all Discount on the customer object itself
- and then remove all Discounts on the Subscriptions

For point 2, do you suggest doing that via discount > subscription delete, or update subscription?

So doing subscription update and sending an empty array in the discount field, will remove all discounts from a sub?

I recommend testing this is test mode to be sure, but yes it should
