Aand now I don't see Google Pay on the staging website but I do see it locally

Well I have it locally open on my phone and selecting Google Pay there doesn't open the popup and shows a user-friendly error just as if e.g. the card was rejected
Maybe it's actually communicating with the browser and it determines there are no payment methods set up on my Google Account, since it clearly works for you

Do you have a card saved to your Google Pay wallet?

On PC the popup shows correctly; I assume this just has something to do with my phone and Chrome there and not actually a Stripe issue so sorry for the trouble and you can close the thread now; I'll also be deleting the URLs now
