Yes! When a subscription is created with trial, pending_setup_intent will be available. pending_setup_intent can be expanded to retrieve the client secret, which can be further used in client side with confirmSetup():

Create Subscription with expand: ['pending_setup_intent']
Pass the client secret from pending_setup_intent.client_secret for Payment Element and confirm it with confirmSetup(): https://docs.stripe.com/payments/save-and-reuse?platform=web&ui=elements#submit-payment-details

Yes you can configure the Checkout Session to collect the payment method or not:
