Cardholder name is not validated, but it'll be forwarded to card issuing bank. Card issuing bank may perform verification on the cardholder name

Thanks for the quick response. But if payment is successful with Smileys in the Cardholder name, Is this still a valid payment scenario? Should we assume that this cardholder name is only used in case of resolving any disutes/fraud etc?

Yes. It is up to the issuing banks whether they will verify cardholder name
