Hi there, can you share with me the subscription ID?
sub_1P85j4Btu9lUy7zyTvgvU6V6
the billing method is now Send invoice (this is what i changed) after the first auto payment failed
but its still retrying the payment automatically
OK, I can see that you changed the collection_method to send_invoice at 2024-05-22 23:38:15 UTC, but the invoice in_1PIy1tBtu9lUy7zyXUvnp7Ca was already fianalized at 2024-05-21 20:08:07 UTC
correct
the invoice was finalized and attempted payment
then i changed from an auto payment
to not an auto payment
and it continues to try and auto pay
Invoice can't be changed after being finalized. Therefore, the change will only be effective for the subsequent invoices that the subscription generates
that seems very odd in this scenario
if a customer pays the invoice now through customer portal
will it still attempt auto payment
What makes you think so? did you try it?
what makes me think its odd?
we have switched the subscription
to no longer auto pay
so idk why would would attempt to auto pay any finalized invoice
against that subscription
they payment terms have basically changed
I'm asking about this -> "if a customer pays the invoice now through customer portal, will it still attempt auto payment"
yea thats a question to you as a follow on to your answer of the other questions as "working as expected"
but to me it doesnt make sense
its not an invoice detail thats changing
its a pament terms
payment strategy really
like if i have a credit card bill i have on auto pay
and i change to not use auto pay after it overdrafts my account
