Hello
Best thing to do is to test this stuff out! But to answer your question directly, no, the Sub will not stay incomplete and there won't be the 23 hour expiration
So we can continue providing access to our service without having the subscription being canceled or moving into incomplete_expired?
I will test it, but have to wait a day for it, just wanted to confirm if the 23 hour rule applied with manual ACH too
You don't have to wait a day for it at all -- it should show you exactly what is going to happen and you can use a test clock (https://docs.stripe.com/billing/testing/test-clocks) to advance time as well
I actually also don't remember exactly what happens in this scenario
So I'm going to test it on my end as well
Oh cool! learning a new thing every day! I wasnt aware of that test clock ๐
Yep, super helpful for testing Subscription integrations
Ah okay I think I'm wrong actually
If microdeposits are used it does remain incomplete and then will move to incomplete_expired if microdeposits aren't verified within 23 hours
Well I moved it up to July 7th and it remains incomplete
Hmm yeah it looks like actually we extend the period of time
Enough days to verify, Im pleased
Looks like 10 days instead
Didn't realize we do that ๐
But yeah that makes sense and I'm happy we do
Interesting, the invoice says If the first payment for this subscription isn't completed before 6/8/24, 1:05 PM, the subscription expire
That will do it
Thank you Bismarck! and thanks for the tip with the test clock ๐
Sure thing
Ah okay looks like we do call this out here: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/ach-debit?platform=web&payment-ui=direct-api#verify-with-microdeposits
