The flow which we are following right now. Hakuna matata is the service that I am building.
I have tried this approach of creating a payment intent for ideal with customer ID.
The payment intent is successful and the payment is via ideal. But, there isn't any SEPA payment method created for that customer.
Are you setting setup_future_usage parameter?
My use case is, when the user is in session -
- I want to collect the first payment via ideal
- Save the payment method as SEPA for future payments.
And I want the customer to authorize only once.
Can you share an example request where you tried it?

Got it, it worked with setup_future_usage parameter. Thank you.
So, can I use setup intent here, if I am not making a payment in the first attempt?
And use payment intent, if payment is involved in the first attempt?
Yup, you can do that.
Perfect, thanks
