This is the expected behavior, cancelling a subscription schedule will also cancel its associated subscription. https://docs.stripe.com/api/subscription_schedules/cancel

By releases you mean that it will not happen right? if i schedule a downgrade and then release it so it will not happen right?

the downgrade won't happen if you release the schedule because the phase starts
