but we can’t just send remediation links / re-onboard because no information for the current capability is missing
What does this mean? When a capability requires more info, sending remediation links is the way to handle this

so, agreed, if we request card payments for the account and send remediation links, it’ll request the missing information. however, in the meantime, transfers will be disabled and the account won’t be able to accept payments

we can’t figure out a way to avoid temporarily disabling payments for these accounts, and the connect account owners are often…less than responsive

@neat snow you need to listen to account.updated to see what information are going to be due and by when and make sure the owner of the account provides the rlevant inforamtion before the deadline. There is no way around it. If they take months to give something we require, it's expected that their account is disabled until they do

oof alright. so the plan is probably something like: coordinate downtime with each business, request capability at that time, send remediation link, hope they’re paying attention and can get their act together in a window of time that doesn’t give anyone a heart attack?

Yes. You could also build a flow where you warn them about the information you will need, and only request the Capability while they are on your app ready to provide the information

one last question about remediation links — I assume they dynamically pull whatever info is missing from an account, and we can have the links locked and loaded before requesting the capability?
