Could you share the subscription IDs (sub_xxx) that (1) used work (2) doesn't work now when updating the trial day?
It's in the UI so I cannot share one that used to work I'm afraid
but here's the one on which it doesn't https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/customers/cus_PyjH8iayxcn9DK?edit=sub_1PJV4LJdX8lIDNiarcPHlyat
Even if the proration behavior is not set in the UI, I get
You cannot set proration_behavior while causing a subscription to be paused after trial.
If it used to work, there should be examples in past subscriptions
We are unable to verify the differences if there is no comparison
I do not have time to search in the thousands of subscriptions I have created for testing.
So with this in mind, let say that I withdraw the fact that "it used to work".
Do you believe I should be able to reduce from the UI the number of trial days to 0?
Here's an event from a month ago where I was able to change a subscription to paused status, from the dashboard by setting the number of days to 0: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/events/evt_1P9Rf9JdX8lIDNiaAwp7uG0d
I'm not able to reproduce the error with the steps you shared
Can you share what you're trying to achieve here?
- Open this subscription in edit mode: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/customers/cus_PyjH8iayxcn9DK?edit=sub_1PJV4LJdX8lIDNiarcPHlyat
- See the number of free trial days is
2 - I want to reduce it to
0, which shouldpausethe subscription - Changing
2to0shows an error instead at the top of the page and it can never be saved
Summary
I'm able to reproduce the error on my end
I compared the two requests that you made in the past and now, and they look the same
This channel is for direct technical integration. We don't have necessary expertise with the Dashboard. Can I suggest you writing to Support https://support.stripe.com/contact with the subscription ID that used to work and the steps to reproduce the error, so that they can check with the relevant team?
