the request you shared is a Payment Intent creation

the authorization is for SetupIntents

#

and in all cases you can't choose between 1 or 0

we always recommend saving a card after payment

#

rather than using SetupIntents

#

or you can simply create a manual capture PaymentIntent

#

Separate payment authorization and capture to create a charge now, but capture funds later.

and then you can cancel it

but the problem with that

the PM won't be attached to the customer unless the payment gets through
