I'm afraid there is no other solution apart from resetting billing cycle anchor before the actual date of next billing cycle
but then it will move by that amount of weeks every year :/
Lets say i would create a new subscription with a trial period 3 weeks early, can i make the customers pay before the trial period ends?
Thanks for waiting! Discord is busy now
I'm afraid that will not be possible. An invoice will only be created when the trials ends
Following, would like to know how to tackle this as well.
Hey! Taking over for my colleague. You can't make your customer pays before trial ends natively. One workaround is to create a separate invoice with one-time payment with the amount of the Subscription, and create a subscription with 0$ price juste for tracking purposes.
Ok just to visualize the process:
I make an invoice for my product -> 15ā¬
I wait for the invoice to be paid
The invoice gets paid -> i create a subscription with 0⬠with an end_date of 1 year in the future
3 Weeks before my subscription ends i send out another invoice 15ā¬
If it gets paid in time i create another subscription and move all the things that need to be tracked to this one
If it does not get paid in time i do not create another subscription and the current subscription ends.
3 Weeks before my subscription ends i send out another invoice 15ā¬
Why you send another invoice ? you use the first invoice for paying the customer. You want the customer to pay the amount before trial ends
Between, trial is meant to allow your customer try your services for free. If you want them to pay then you don't offer trial. You can simply create a paid subscription from the start to them and provide an option to cancel the subscription and refund.
This was based on my original question.
I want my customer to pay for the second billing cycle 3 weeks early
Since that is not possible i send out an invoice 3 weeks before the subscription ends and create another subscription starting where the previous subscription ended
I'm a little surprised this use case is not a more common thing
I want my customer to pay for the second billing cycle 3 weeks early
No that's not possible unless you use a sperate invoice for that and create a Subscription with 0$ price
This will need a lot of rewriting code š¦

š taking over for my colleague. Let me know if there's any follow-up Qs I can answer!
Since there is no standard way of doing this i will have to do it the workaround way.
Thank you anyway.
However i think this would be a great feature
