Here's the log itself -- worth noting the card we used is able to be used fine elsewhere, and other cards work fine in this Checkout

#

and this behavior is actually happening across multiple products' Stripe Checkouts, with this card specifically

@daring halo  Have a non-technical question, account issue, or need one-on-one support? We wish we could help, but this community is focused on developers and technical discussions. Our support team will be able to assist you better than we can: https://support.stripe.com/contact

Hi there, I was trying to isolate my question to the technical portion -- about Checkout and a decline log but no actual payment

#

Just provided the other bits for context, is it still not a technical question about how Stripe's data model works?

#

i.e. trying to understand how a "decline" can happen without a Payment existing, etc.

Hi there, can you share with me the Checkout session ID?

daring halo
#

Is there a place to find that besides a Payment?

I was under the impression I didn't have one accessible since a Payment never showed up, only that log

#

Unless it's the sid field?

#
"sid": "5a98f034-59fd-479e-874e-6ff98156d373c8e2fb",
#

Here's the full-thing w/ just my CC info removed

You can also share with me the request ID (i.e., req_xxx), it's at the upper right corner of this screenshot

So I actually did that a few times, Stripe support says it's Chase's fault for not giving them info with the decline

And Chase is saying they're not even receiving the request (they didn't receive that very logged request today I shared)

Do you have any advice on who to reach out to in this scenario?

Seems too technical for regular support

#

idk if it's because we're using the 2016 API version or something?

obsidian silo
#

I don't think the API version would matter.

#

Did you provide the same request ID to the stripe support that you were interacting with?

daring halo
#

Yes, they took a look at it

#

Here's what they said

Ok, I'd put a note on the ticket and ask them to dig further.

Will do, thanks Jack
