we are trying to setup subscriptions
and we have set them up so that each user can only purchase 1 sub
however if the user already has a sub on say dev account. they cannot even purchase on other accounts

from what i understand, you've configured the setting in Stripe to only allow one Subscription per customer (email). Since you have different staging environments, you may have the same customer (email) on different staging environments for testing.

so you can't use the same account, you're going to need to use different Stripe accounts
