If you want to only show ACH then you need to remove card from your payment method types. Which means you would need to specify payment_method_types when you create your PaymentIntent server-side: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment_intents/create#create_payment_intent-payment_method_types

I do want to allow credit cards but I have my custom component to render that. I want to use Stripe's component for rendering the US Bank account component

Yep so the above would remove credit card as an option from Payment Element
Oh you are saying you want to still use the same PaymentIntent
