Hi, there is not a way to update this retroactively, https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions. However, you could retrieve the CheckoutSession, https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/retrieve and attain the PaymentIntent ID to update it. Then, you can update the metadata of the PaymentIntent: https://docs.stripe.com/api/payment_intents/update#update_payment_intent-metadata and add a clientReferenceId. Are you able to try this?
