There's no maximum time or expiration in this case. I take it you're referring to Checkout Sessions in payment mode?

but i need to be able to make multiple future charges
up to a maximum of the total product price, which is $15,000

If that's the case, you should use payment_intent_data.setup_future_usage: off_session when creating your Checkout Session: https://docs.stripe.com/api/checkout/sessions/create#create_checkout_session-payment_intent_data-setup_future_usage
