I added pending_setup_intent when creating subscription and was able to get the payment intent. but the payment confirmation doesn't work yet

This would be using a SetupIntent (for non-payment) so you'd use confirmSetup instead of confirmPayment

Looking at your previous thread it appears you use confirmCardPayment so likely you want confirmCardSetup here
