Not as far as I know, no

When a customer of ours is disabled, we would like to prevent further transactions to that virtual account and make sure that the funds are returned

#

Is deleting the customer the only solution? Or would that not even solve the problem?

Is BankTransfer a detachable payment method? I didn't think it had a pm_ reference

tired ivy
#

Ah, I see. Just a sec

#

Can you post the docs for specifically what you're talking about if not Bank Transfers?

pseudo thicket
#

Sorry if I misunderstood your question, but I'm talking specifically about Bank Transfers

#

As far as I know, they get spun up from a Stripe Customer getting joined to a connected account through a Payment Intent

Hey there

#

Stepping in as two-shoes needs to step away

#

Once a Customer has an associated Customer Balance (the result of offering Bank Transfers) then no you can't really "disable" this.

#

However, you can determine which PaymentMethods you show as options for a PaymentIntent

#

So you could just not have customer_balance (Bank Transfers) be an option if you don't want to offer it for that checkout flow.

#

For sure, and we wouldn't expose that option once a customer has been disabled for "Wire transfer" on our end.

However, that still leaves the question of what happens if a customer decides to send money to the virtual account number after they had been "disabled" for "Wire transfer" on our side. From what it sounds like, there isn't a way to block further transactions to that virtual account number and it would be up to the vendor on the recieving end to refund the customer.

Is that correct?

torpid wagon
#

Yep that's correct.

#

Darn ok

#

Thanks for the help though!

#

Yeah, only real way to do this would be to actually delete the Customer

#

I believe then if a transfer was sent it would be auto-refunded

#

But that likely isn't a good way to go here

pseudo thicket
#

Yeah, I was hoping to avoid a wholesale deletion, but that's still a bit better than leaving the refund up to chance. Good to know regarding the auto-refund portion

#

Do you know of any docs that get into the nitty gritty of how these virtual accounts work and their lifecycle?
