๐ Welcome to your new thread!
โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.
โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

Hello
Since you're using PaymentLinks (which is a no-code solution) I am curious if you are a developer or working with a developer? Building a webhook requires programming/coding so want to make sure we're on the same page before I recommend anything ๐

oh no i'm not a developer but didn't know if i needed webhooks or if i'm okay just waiting the settlement period
i needed a human to help me understand webhooks after reading the articles i found
do i need them?
i provide consulting and not immediate fulfillment of products
Hi ๐ jumping in as my teammate needs to step away soon. If you don't know if you need webhooks, chances are you don't need them. They're designed to allow you to write code that is triggered when actions happen in your Stripe account. If you don't have a system for ingesting the Events we send, or plan to build a system to do that, then Events won't be of benefit to you.
got it! Learn somrthing new each day! Thank you Toby and Hanzo
I fi have a question about removing tax for exempt clients, is that with you, a new thread, or another chat with customer support?
It depends on what you mean by that. If you're looking to make adjustments to your integration to incorporate that and are running into problems, we can help with that. If you moreso are hoping to adjust already made transactions, that would be something you would need to speak with our support team about.
oh i 'm setting it up now and have not received transactions yet so i'm not fixing something but want to ensure it's set up correctly so clients don't pay tax
Gotcha. If you're planning to decide whether your customers are exempt yourself and are looking for the right way to indicate that to us so tax isn't charged for those customers via Stripe Tax, that is discussed here:
